Day 01: LEH – SUMOOR. 120 Kms. Leave early morning for Khalsar over the Khardongla pass at 18380 Ft. (Highest Motorable Road of the World) Arrive Khalsar which is the second village of Nubra while going from Leh. Further drive to Sumoor village. Post Lunch visit Sumoor Monatery (Samstanling) & Panamik Village. O/n Deluxe Fixed Camp.
Day 02: SUMOOR – DISKIT – SUMOOR.Full day excursion to Diskit & Hunder (Last point for the foreigners) Visit the monastery and the town which is the headquarter of Nubra Valley. Drive back to Sumoor. O/n Deluxe Fixed Camp.
Day 03: SUMOOR – DIGAR VILLAGE. Drive to Digar Village. Explore the day in village with local people. O/n in Tents at Digar Village.
Day 04: DIGAR VILLAGE – WARI LA – CHANG LA - PANGONG LAKE.Post early breakfast drive crossing over the Wari La Pass 17300 ft & Chang La Pass 15000 ft, to Pangong Lake one of the largest and most beautiful natural brackish lakes in the Himalayas. Situated at 14000 ft, more than half of thelake is within Chinese Territory and only one third part lies in India. Explore the lake area, might catch some rare wildlife. O/n Deluxe Fixed Camp near the Lake.
Day 05: PANGONG – CHUMATHANG.Post breakfast drive to Chumathang a place known for its hot springs. Lunch at the Hot springs. The hot springs of Chumathang is a protected area and its water is believed to have great medicinal qualities and thus is a pilgrimage for many local ladakhis. O/n Tents at Chumathang.
Day 06: CHUMATHANG – TSOMORIRI LAKE.Post early breakfast drive to Tso-moriri 4630 mtrs. The drive takes you through some wonderful landscapes of the Rupshu plateau. It’s a fantastic high altitude wilderness drive, with small passes, lakes and valleys full of Himalayan Marmots. Arrive at the remote village of Korzok by afternoon, the only permanent settlement in the Lake area. O/n Tents near the Lake.
Day 07: TSOMORIRI – TSOKAR – LEH. Morning drive to Leh via Tsokar in 8 - 9hrs approx. Tsokar lake in the northwest from Tsomoriri Lake is situated at the height of 4485 M. It is also called "While Lake" because of salt deposit around it. Since these are all drainage basins with no outlet their water is blackish. That of the Tsokar is so salty that salt is procured from its margins and was sold all over Ladakh and Kashmir Until a few years ago by the Rupshu Chang. Tsokar is partly fed by a channel from a smaller fresh water lake. All the lakes are breeding grounds for a variety of birds among them the bar-headed Goose, the great crested Grebe, the Brahmin Duck and the Brown Headed Gull. Drive to Leh via ThukjeGompa. Join Manali-Leh highway and drive down to Leh via Tanglang-la (5224 mt.) the 2nd highest motor able road in Ladakh. En route drive passes beautiful villages of Rumtse, Gia, Meeru.
